Members of the public are invited to attend the second of three public meetings of the School Options Committee for the ongoing School Review Process in northwestern Pictou County. The schools being reviewed in the Process are Pictou Elementary, Dr. Thomas McCulloch Junior High and Pictou Academy. Northumberland Regional High School is also included in this Process as a potential receiving school.

All CCRSB schools are closed today, December 16th, due to the weather and road conditions. This includes all schools in the counties of Pictou, Cumberland and Colchester, as well as the Municipality of East Hants.
The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board is seeking applications for the position of non-union supervisor at Dr. WA MacLeod Consolidated School in Stellarton.
The position is responsible for supervising students at noon hour only.

Bus #62, driven by Dog Cox, is running 20 minutes behind this morning picking students up for Rawdon Elementary and Kennetcook District Elementary.
Parents and guardians are advised that an Early French Immersion information session will be held at AG Baillie Memorial School, 477 Victoria Street, New Glasgow, on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 beginning at 6:00 pm. Storm date is Thursday, March 9th.
Early French Immersion is for students who will be entering Grade Primary in the 2017-2018 school year. Questions ahead of the meeting can be directed to the French Program Services Department at 902-897-8965 or 1-800-770-0008 (toll-free in Nova Scotia).
The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board has been notified that the new Tatamagouche Grade Primary to 12 school (Tatamagouche Regional Academy) will not be ready to open for September 2017 as previously planned.
The opening has tentatively been set for January 2018. The exact date for the opening is not known, but will be widely communicated as the project approaches completion.
The Committee-of-the-Whole Meeting of the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017 beginning at 7:00 pm in the Central Office boardroom, 60 Lorne Street, Truro.
