Parents and guardians are advised that Bus #17, driven by Barry Beal, is running 20 minutes behind taking students home from Chiganois Elementary School and CEC due to a mechanical problem.
The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board (CCRSB) is now accepting applications for students interested in enrolling in Early French Immersion, as well as Middle French Immersion (Pictou County only). The application deadline for both programs is February 3, 2017. Students do not need a background in French to find success in Early French Immersion or Middle French Immersion.
Students, parents and guardians are advised that exam exemptions for the coming examination period at the end of January will go ahead as planned.
Attendance, which determines eligibility for exam exemptions, will be reviewed on a school-by-school basis. Schools will contact/confirm with individual students about their status with regards to an exemption.
January 30th in-service day and exams to go-ahead

Late this afternoon the Nova Scotia Teachers Union announced that its members will be resuming their work-to-rule/partial strike action beginning on Monday, January 30th.
The in-service day for Grade Primary to 8 students will go ahead as planned on Monday and exams will continue. The start of Second Semester will begin on February 2nd.
Students, parents and guardians are advised that all classes at Hants East Rural High School are cancelled tomorrow, February 16, 2017, due to the fact that power has not yet been fully restored to the school. Work to address the power outage will continue tomorrow.
All schools in the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board are closed today, Monday, March 20, 2017, due to weather and road conditions. This includes the counties of Colchester, Cumberland and Pictou, as well as the Municipality of East Hants. This also means that any school-based or after-school activities are cancelled.
