This September, school bus service for the Chignecto Family of Schools (Cumberland County) will be operated by the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board. In the past, this service has been operated by an external service provider contracted by the school board.

In an effort to reduce the length of time students spend travelling on the school bus, and waiting at the school for classes to start in the morning and buses to arrive to take them home in the afternoon, the bell time for these three schools will change in this September.

TRURO - The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board met last night and accepted Dr. Noel Hurley’s resignation from his position as Superintendent of Schools/CEO, effective September 24, 2010.“I have thoroughly enjoyed the last four years, working in what I feel is the finest school board in eastern Canada,” says Hurley.

CCRSB student, Adam Tanner from South Colchester Academy, won gold in carpentry at the Nova Scotia Provincial Skills Competition and, as part of Team Nova Scotia, took home a bronze medal from the 2010 Canadian Skills Competition held in Waterloo, Ontario.
