Welcome back!

CCRSB News:

On behalf of the elected members and staff of the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board (CCRSB) I would like to extend a very warm welcome to students – and their families – beginning their journey with us, and those returning for another year.

The CCRSB school community is almost 20,000 students strong, with 69 schools in the counties of Colchester, Cumberland and Pictou, and the Municipality of East Hants. At CCRSB our focus is on increasing student learning and providing our students with positive, safe and socially-just learning environments.

We believe student learning is our priority and learning is a partnership among home, school and community. We believe that all students have the ability to learn and that our students learn in different ways. We believe that we must teach the whole child because learning is a lifelong process. We believe that our schools must be safe, supportive, and socially-just places where everyone must be treated with dignity and respect.

It is my sincere hope that all students, their parents, guardians and communities that support them will join us in these beliefs. It is never too early or too late to get involved! I encourage parents and guardians to join their School Advisory Council or Home & School Association; to get to know the staff at their child’s school and to take every opportunity to forge relationships. Together we can ensure that every CCRSB student has the best year, and the best experience at school.

You can get all the latest news about what’s happening across CCRSB on our website, Facebook page and Twitter account. Follow, like and share our good news!

Good luck and best wishes to all students!

Trudy Thompson, Chair
Chignecto-Central Regional School Board
