Students in grades 2/3 and 3 at Frank H. MacDonald School participated in an activity where they had to create the “most magnificent thing”! They were sent home with a top-secret mission to collect recycled items like boxes, plastic lids, and bottles. The next day they watched the animated story of “The Most Magnificent Thing” by Ashley Spires. Students then asked themselves: What makes something magnificent to me? What is its purpose? How will I create it? From there, they were inspired to plan, design, and construct their masterpieces! Once completed, they wrote stories and shared their work with the Grade Primary classes! The Grade Primary students are now excited to create their own magnificent things in their classrooms.
