The staff at Cyrus Eaton Elementary School welcomed almost 100 parents and students to their first Family Fun Math Night. As part of the school's Student Success Planning (SSP) goal in support of school and family relationships, the staff created a night dedicated to math and fun. Using their SSP funding, teachers worked with Math Mentor Kelly Parker to create hands-on activities for parents and students to work with at home. Parents in older grades also worked with IPad apps and the IXL online program to support math at home. Each family went home with a math grab bag, healthy snacks were provided and parents completed an exit slip survey to evaluate the night and provide input for improvement. A very fun, mathematical time was had by all!
