The new school year is just weeks away, with students, teachers and staff getting ready to return to the classroom. 

With this in mind, here is a list of important dates to remember for students and parents during the 2017-18 school year.

-Sept. 7, 2017: First Day of School for Students.

-Sept. 29, 2017: Teacher Self-Directed IPP/Adaptation Development, Site-Based PD, no classes, all schools.

-Oct. 9, 2017: Thanksgiving Day, no classes, all schools

-Oct. 27, 2017: Provincial Conference Day, no classes, all schools.

-Nov. 13, 2017: Remembrance Day Observed, no classes, all schools

-Nov. 17, 2017: Assessment & Evaluation Day – Elementary AM Site-Based or Family PD – Secondary, PM Parent/Teacher – Secondary, no classes, all schools

-Dec. 1, 2017: AM Site-Based or Family PD, PM Parent/Teacher, no classes, elementary schools only

-Dec. 22, 2017 to Jan. 2, 2018: Holiday Break

-Feb. 1, 2018: Assessment and Evaluation Day, no classes, secondary only

-Feb. 19, 2018: Mona Louise Parsons Heritage Day, no classes, all schools

-March 12-16, 2018: Spring Break.

-Mach 23, 2018: Assessment and Evaluation, no classes, elementary only.

-March 30, 2018: Good Friday, no classes, all schools

-April 2, 2018: Easter Monday, no classes, all schools

-April 20, 2018: AM Site-Based or Family PD, PM Parent/Teacher, no classes, all schools. 

-May 18, 2018: Site-Based PD, no classes, all schools.

-May 21, 2018: Victoria Day, no classes, all schools

-June 27, 2018: Assessment and Evaluation Day, no classes, secondary only.

-June 28, 2018: Assessment and Evaluation Day, no classes, all schools.

-June 29, 2018: Last Day of School.
