Great Village Elementary Peace Week
At Great Village Elementary School, students have been learning about empathy and compassion - last week was called Peace Week with special activities planned for each day. This was "Crazy Hair Day" or if your hair was just too crazy, you could choose to wear a hat. Other activities included swimming, making a fruit kebob snack, and pajama day that included a hot breakfast. In addition to showing empathy to one another, students focused on showing empathy to our animal friends. A parent who works at the SPCA visited the school to share information about the care of animals so students collected donations of items for the SPCA.
