A CCRSB Christmas!
Generosity, Peace, Hope & Love
Schools across CCRSB spend the year gathering donations of food, clothing and other household items to help those who need a little help, close to home and across the world.
The students at Bible Hill Junior High School participated in their first meeting of '100 Huskies Who Care' on December 17 with 40 teams (teams are made up of no more than 4 people). The teams were tasked with deciding which local, non-profit organization would receive their $800 donation. Three non-profit groups presented to the students: Maggie’s Place, MADD Canada, and We Care About Cancer Fund. Students chose to donate to the We Care About Cancer Fund for their first "100 Huskies Who Care" act!
Students in the Options and Opportunities Program at Hants North Regional High School organizaed and deliver 7000 donations to the Hants North Food Bank today.
Students from Cobequid Consolidated School brought 160 items to the local food bank today to help those in need.
