Monthly Reports

Amherst Regional High School’s annual "Post-Secondary Educational Fair" will be held in the ARHS gymnasium on Sunday, November 1st  from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Grades 9-12 students, their parents and guardians, from ARHS, River Hebert District High School and Advocate District School are invited to attend. Representatives from many university and colleges will be on hand to have conversations and to give out materials regarding post-secondary opportunities and to held students and their families plan their transition from high school. On a recent visit to Atlantic Canada, Calgary police officer and anti-bullying educator, Tad Milmine spoke to Grade 5 to 12 students a River Hebert District School, as well as students at Amherst Regional High School and Springhill Jr./Sr. High School, about the power of self-image, resilience, bullying, understanding, and acceptance.

Generosity, Peace, Hope & Love

Schools across CCRSB spend the year gathering donations of food, clothing and other household items to help those who need a little help, close to home and across the world.

In late January, Grade 4 students in Ms. Frelick’s class at Uniacke District School had a special visitor. Jim Hibberts, who has run over 30 marathons and close to 500 races, shared his personal experiences on training and running marathons.  A staff member at the school, Mr. Hibberts exemplifies the Virtue of “perseverance” for students.   

Join the talented students at Bible Hill Junior High this week for three shows of the musical "The Lion King Jr."! The sets and costumes are ready, now all they need is an audience! The play will run for three nights and tickets may be purcahsed at the door. For more information, contact the school at 902-896-5500.

The EB Chandler Junior High Grade 8 Concert Band attended the Atlantic Festival of Music in Halifax at the end of April. Conductor Kaitlin Conrad and her 48 member band performed three pieces at the festival and received a silver standing for their performance. Congratulations to the EBC Grade 8 Concert Band!
