West Highlands School opening pushed back one day

Media Release:
Tuesday, March 24, 2015

The first day of class for students attending the new West Highlands School will now be Thursday, March 26th. This change is necessary to allow the school staff the opportunity to finish preparing the school for the arrival of students.

CCRSB had originally planned for staff to have one day to pack at the old site and two days to unpack and set-up at the new school. The unpacking and set-up was interrupted by the closure of schools on Monday due to road and weather conditions.

Parents and guardians with questions should contact the Chignecto Family of Schools Office at 902-597-4207.

The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board is comprised of 17 board members and 2,700 staff all striving to develop independent, lifelong learners in a student-centered environment, with high expectations for all. CCRSB serves over 20,000 students from Primary to Grade 12, throughout the counties of East Hants, Colchester, Cumberland and Pictou.
