First day of school for River Hebert District School students to be delayed by one day
The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board has received permission from the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development to delay the first day of school for students attending River Hebert District School to Friday, September 9th. All other schools will begin classes as planned on September 8th.
The extra day provided by the September 9th start will give staff at River Hebert District School additional time to move, un-pack and organize supplies and materials, and prepare classrooms and facilities ahead of the arrival of students.
The September 9th opening marks the beginning of the official operation of this newly-renovated facility as a Primary to Grade 12 school.
The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board is comprised of 17 board members and 2,700 staff all striving to develop independent, lifelong learners in a student-centered environment, with high expectations for all. CCRSB serves almost 20,000 students from Primary to Grade 12, throughout the counties of Colchester, Cumberland and Pictou, and the Municipality of East Hants.
